A man in saffron-orange robes with a white forehead band, a rudraksha mala and a long gold necklace sits on a low seat, smiling and performing a ritual gesture over a wooden stand draped with a green cloth and garlands of red and white flowers. Beside him, a second priest in orange robes with a red head wrap and gold necklace sits with folded hands. Brass oil lamps, a plate of flower petals, lemons, apples, a coconut and betel leaves sit on the floor. Behind them stand golden decorations, red fabric and a row of orange-clad devotees.2009-10-17A priest with grey hair and a bare upper body, wearing a yellow and orange dhoti with a green border, bends forward to touch the forehead of a seated figure in an orange turban and orange robe, who wears a white jasmine garland. Behind them, a second bare-chested assistant holds a brass plate of flowers and offerings, and seated devotees in orange robes fill the mandapam, with a gathering of people and a striped cloth beneath. A red-and-white canopy with orange flower garlands hangs above. The scene suggests a blessing or honouring ceremony. The seated figure's appearance does not clearly match the candidate cues, so the identity is uncertain.2007-02-02
