A photograph of a ceremonial gathering in a hall. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange saffron shawl over a bare upper body, sits on an ornate golden throne with red cushions, one hand raised in a blessing gesture. Flanking him are gilded deity murti statues and a golden lion-form armrest. In the foreground, several shaven-headed men in saffron robes and rudraksha malas sit cross-legged, one with eyes closed. The swami on the throne shows distinctive long hair and saffron shawl with rudraksha-adorned ceremonial presence, which is consistent with Swamiji (probable), seated as the presiding figure at a Brahmacharya training session.2006-08-22A seated figure in a saffron-orange robe with long, swept-back dark hair sits on an ornate gilded throne with a large red cushion or backrest. Golden deity murtis stand to the left, including a gold figure with a flute-like pose and another in red and gold. In the foreground, the backs of several audience members' heads are visible, including a bald person in orange at far left. The seated figure holds a small object with both hands in the lap. The scene suggests a satsang or initiation session on a stage with a dark curtain behind. a person seated on the throne, identified by long swept hair and saffron robe.2006-08-22A seated long-haired man in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, hands joined in a namaste gesture with eyes lowered. A gilded carved deity murti stands beside the throne, and a gold-carved lion or animal figure rests at its base. Several shaved-headed monks in saffron robes and rudraksha malas sit cross-legged on the left, one wearing glasses. A red fabric canopy and dark curtains frame the scene.2006-08-22August 22 20062006-08-22August 22 20062006-08-22December 29 20142014-12-29A man with long dark hair and a full beard sits smiling on an ornate white and red throne, dressed in an orange sleeveless top and orange wrap with a gold-bordered cloth, holding a wooden staff. Behind him stands a richly gilded shrine with golden deity figures and red-and-gold decorative banners. Seated devotees in white and black clothing fill the foreground, including a woman in a white sari with a red bindi and a bald man in the lower left. A water bottle sits on a table to the right. Appearance-based label: Swamiji (probable), seated on the throne in orange robes with long hair and beard, a wooden staff and the throne's ornate seat.2016-12-18August 22 20062006-08-22November 23 20102010-11-23A seated figure sits on an ornate gold-toned throne flanked by carved lion heads, against a dark textured backdrop. He wears a dark maroon-red robe, a black cylindrical headpiece, a gold necklace with a large pendant, bangles, and a multicoloured flower garland in red, yellow and green. A silver staff rests beside the throne. In the foreground, several people sit with their backs to the camera, including a bald man in white with a red shoulder cloth and a woman in a tan top with a braid, while others in white and red garments sit facing the throne. Appearance-based cues including the headpiece, gold jewellery and maroon robe are consistent with a person seated in the role of teacher addressing the assembly, a satsang-style gathering.2016-05-20A photograph of a seated man in saffron-orange robes on an ornate golden throne with red velvet cushions, eyes closed, hands folded, wearing a long rudraksha mala and a red bindi. Several devotees sit in the foreground facing him, including a shaved-headed young man in orange with white tilak, and women with long hair, one in a white sari with gold border. Behind the throne is a large painted backdrop of temple architecture with a figure in blue and red, brass lamps, and a bowl of bananas on a side table. The setting appears to be a satsang. Given the page's reference to a person and the throne and rudraksha cues, the seated figure is a person presiding in a satsang with devotees.2010-10-26 +1 copiesDecember 18 20162016-12-18
