A seated man with long dark hair and a red bindi pours liquid from a silver vessel over a golden kalasha-shaped object on a tray, with a small bronze deity murti in an arched frame to the left. He wears an orange saffron robe, orange shawl and a heavy gold ceremonial necklace. Behind him a red umbrella and a colourful banner with the word Dhyanapeetham stand near a second robed figure in orange. A man on the right in an orange shawl and white dhoti holds a long pole, and a man in an orange cap and orange shawl sits at the lower right. The scene looks like an abhishekam ritual outdoors.2006-06-01June 01 20062006-06-01June 01 20062006-06-01A man with long dark swept-back hair, wearing an orange-saffron robe, a red bindi and a gold bead necklace, kneels and pours milk from a small silver bowl over a white tiered shivalinga-style stepped pedestal on a brass tray. Beside him sits a bronze deity murti in an arched niche. Behind, a red umbrella shades the scene, and a red, blue and yellow festoon banner reading "Dhyan" hangs on the wall. Other men in orange robes and an orange cap sit nearby, with one holding a fan. Appearance-based cues (long hair, saffron robe, gold necklace) suggest Swamiji (probable) performing an abhishekam.2006-06-01June 01 20062006-06-01June 01 20062006-06-01A photograph of an abhishekam ritual at an outdoor temple-style setting. A man with long, swept-back dark hair wears saffron-orange robes and a gold ceremonial necklace, and pours liquid from a bronze cup over a golden kalasha-shaped stepped base. Beside it sits a small silver-framed deity murti with an arched backdrop. A red ceremonial umbrella with fringed edges is held above, and behind are a yellow-and-green embroidered cloth and a red banner with decorative elephant motifs. Other people in orange robes sit nearby, one older man in an orange head cloth and shawl holding the umbrella pole. Water sheen is visible on the stone floor, with a silver vessel at left.2006-06-01A photograph of a man in an orange saffron robe and rudraksha mala necklaces pouring yellow liquid from a gold vessel over a golden shivalinga-style stepped yoni-pitha on a wooden tray. He has a tilak on his forehead and short dark hair. Behind him stand a gold-framed altar with a red and green silk cloth, white flower garlands and brass lamps. Gold ritual items, a small bell and an incense stick sit in the foreground. This appears to be an abhishekam being performed.2009-10-17A photograph of a temple abhishekam at night. A long-haired man in orange saffron robes and a gold bead necklace pours liquid from a silver vessel over a golden linga on a lotus-shaped peetha. A second orange-robed attendant stands behind him holding a silver kalasha, and a partially visible figure with a rudraksha mala is nearby. Beside the linga sit a golden seated statue wearing a turban and a small bronze deity murti. Liquid streams down over the golden stone and offerings lie on the floor.2010-02-12June 01 20062006-06-01 +1 copiesDecember 16 20092009-12-16A seated man in orange saffron robes and a long gold-beaded necklace holds a small brass lamp with a flame over a brass vessel topped with a pile of rudraksha malas, performing a ritual. He has long dark swept-back hair and a red tilak. Behind him, several men in orange shawls sit with folded hands and a brass kalasha, under red and yellow decorated umbrellas, a metal trident-like staff, and a carved metal deity shrine on the left. Pale stone steps and a latticed wall form the setting, with a banner in the background. The appearance of the central figure with long hair, saffron robes and ornate gold necklace fits the page's a person reference, though identity is appearance-based and uncertain.2006-06-01
