On the left, a wall of small booklets and cards faces out, and a large black-and-white portrait labelled "PARAMAHANSA NITHYANANDA" hangs on the shelf. A man in a white short-sleeved shirt and dark trousers stands at the right with his hands on his hips, facing the shelves. Beside him, a man in a long white garment with a white shawl and a mala of beads looks toward the books. A woman in white sits on the floor at the lower centre, partly hidden by the shelving. Several more racks of covers stretch along the back wall. The cover images are depictions, not physical people; the physical people count is three.2006-07-25A photograph taken inside a bookshop or media store with wooden shelves filled with CDs, DVDs and booklets, many showing a portrait of a saffron-clad figure with a crown-like head covering and bead necklaces. In the centre, a woman in an orange sari stands smiling beside the racks, and behind her an elderly man with white hair and a white beard, bare-chested with a white dhoti and a sacred thread, stands near a second woman in a pale grey sari photographing the displays. On the left, a life-size seated statue in orange robes and an orange head wrap holds an open blue book. Strings of tinsel and a garland of white flowers hang near the statue. The red floor and the orange clothing dominate the scene. The woman in orange is not clearly identifiable as a specific individual from appearance cues alone.2006-07-25A photograph inside a book fair stall lined with framed portraits and bookshelves. In the centre, a long-haired man in an orange saffron robe with a red tilak on his forehead stands at a display table covered with CDs and DVD cases. He looks down at the merchandise and gestures with one hand. Beside him, a man in white shirt and trousers with a lanyard looks on, and another man in white shirt and glasses stands further back. A woman in a grey patterned sari with a handbag stands at the left, and a man in white shirt is partly visible in the foreground holding a CD case. Wall posters show a seated figure in white and older men in framed portraits. The long-haired man in orange has distinctive long swept-back hair and saffron clothing, which is a probable match for a person, but the appearance is not conclusive enough to confirm, so this is an uncertain candidate.2009-01-17 +1 copiesA photo inside a bookshop-style gallery with white block walls and tiered glass display shelves holding books and CDs with portrait covers.
