A seated man in a rust-red silk robe with gold-bordered edges and a layered beaded necklace, with a white forehead mark and hair tied back, extends his hand toward an elderly bearded man in an orange turban and orange shawl who bows low, hands pressed together, at his feet. Behind them a row of women in rust and maroon saris and rudraksha malas, some with palms joined, and several men in white dhotis with orange shawls stand in a courtyard under red cloth and a golden ceremonial staff. The scene resembles a padapuja or darshan with devotees honouring a seated guru, though no printed text identifies the event.2013-12-26February 14 20142014-02-14September 11 20152015-09-11 +2 copiesApril 28 20142014-04-28July 08 20102010-07-08May 14 20152015-05-14March 26 20082008-03-26Three men stand close together in a warm orange-walled room, with a light curtain behind. On the left, an elderly man with a long white beard and a grey topknot wears a loose orange robe and gently holds a pale yellow snake's head near a green-handled object. In the centre, a smiling man with white forehead markings and a red bindi wears a rust-red garment, a thick gold-and-bead necklace and a gold-bordered shawl, and he watches the snake. On the right, a smiling bald man with white tilak markings wears a rust-red cloth and a rudraksha mala and holds out his cupped hands. The snake raises its head above the group. The scene is a candid photo of a close encounter with a snake during a ritual or blessing setting.2013-12-26A seated man in rust-red and gold robes, with a leopard-print cloth over his lap, places his right hand on the crown of a kneeling man's head in a blessing. The seated figure wears layered garlands of yellow and red flowers, beaded orange-gold bangles, a gold necklace and earrings, and sits on a red zebra-print cushioned seat. The kneeling devotee in a green plaid shirt holds a small orange-brown object in clasped hands. Behind them stand a woman in a white garment with an orange-beaded necklace, a woman in a green sari, a cameraman behind a tripod, and a golden deity murti draped with purple cloth and garlands, beside a red carpet and gold backdrop.2014-04-13Stage photograph of a ceremonial darshan. A seated bearded man with long dark hair, a tilak on his forehead, layered rudraksha malas and an ornate gold necklace, wearing an orange-red garment, sits on an ornate silver throne with leopard-print cushions and a microphone beside him. He smiles as a young shirtless attendant with a rudraksha mala and orange dhoti stands before him, offering a white cloth-wrapped gift on a tray. A garland of white and orange flowers lies at the base of the throne, a silver staff stands beside them, and a red-and-gold painted backdrop fills the background. The seated man fits the presentation of the a person, with long hair, rudraksha malas and saffron clothing, while the attendant is a devotee. Orange-red clothing, silver throne, flowers and rudraksha malas define the scene.2018-05-06December 05 20142014-12-05September 16 20132013-09-16
