A hand pours liquid from a silver ladle into a silver bowl beside a stacked pile of yellow-coated bricks, with a bright flame and sparks rising from the top of the stack. A hand holding a silver ladle with a long handle pours liquid into the flames, and a copper-and-silver bowl sits on the left edge. Darbha grass lies on the bricks. The scene suggests a homa or yagna. No people beyond the hand are visible, and the background shows a colourful striped cloth.2018-03-12A brick fire pit (homa kunda) burns brightly at the centre of the frame, with white rangoli-style kolam lines painted on the bricks and a red flower lying on the edge. A metal vessel with a long handle. Behind the fire, blurred red flower petals and the orange robe of a seated person appear at the edges. No face is clearly visible, so no one is identified.2019-03-17Close view of a fire ritual at a brick-lined homa pit with a blazing wood fire. A hand in a bangle-wearing wrist holds a long silver ladle pouring liquid into the flames, and a silver bowl of orange liquid sits beside the pit. The brick altar is marked with white and red kumkum-style dots, with red and yellow flower petals and a bowl of flowers nearby. A person in red cloth sits behind, but no face is visible; no a person candidate is shown, so the people count reflects only partially visible hands and clothing.2011-12-14A fire pit homa in progress: a yellow-painted brick fire pit with bright flames rising from it. A hand wearing a red thread bracelet and a ring pours liquid from a long metal ladle into the fire. Beside the pit sits a large engraved silver bowl of liquid, a small steel cup, pink flower petals scattered on the bricks, and a bundle of green leaves tied with a strand. Striped woven mats in red, purple and blue lie underneath. Only the hand is visible, no full figures appear.2018-05-29 +2 copiesMarch 12 20182018-03-12December 24 20152015-12-24November 28 20152015-11-28A photograph of a homa fire burning inside a square fire pit built from stacked yellow turmeric-coloured bricks, with a red kumkum mark on the brick corners. Flames rise from the centre. Behind it, a person in an orange dhoti with a maroon border sits cross-legged, with hands visible near the fire and a small spoon or ladle in one hand. To the right stand a silver kalasha-style vessel and a metal dish of yellow liquid on the left. The setting suggests a ritual fire ceremony. No face is visible, so no identity is asserted.2013-05-24
