Many are women with long braided or pinned hair wearing white saris and salwar kameez in pastel shades of blue, pink, yellow and turquoise, seated on striped rugs and some on white plastic chairs. At the centre, a figure in a saffron-orange robe stands on the stage between a decorated altar with yellow and red draped fabric and a golden-red throne with a seated figure. Large portrait banners of a deity hang on the right wall, and a deity murti is visible on the altar. Hall lights and a patterned backdrop frame the scene.2008-10-03A photograph taken from behind a large seated audience in white plastic chairs inside a hall, facing a stage.
