Night photograph of a festival procession in a dark street. At the centre, a small illuminated ornate palanquin with a domed roof and garlanded pillars carries a seated figure in gold and white robes, lit from within, with attendants standing alongside. Strings of blue, green and white fairy lights cover a tall building face on the right, and red and green lights glow on buildings at left. A dense dark crowd fills the foreground. Appears to be a ratha/palanquin procession at night.2017-02-24February 24 20172017-02-24October 03 20142014-10-03February 24 20172017-02-24February 24 20172017-02-24February 24 20172017-02-24February 24 20172017-02-24February 17 20152015-02-17March 07 20162016-03-07Night photograph of an illuminated temple chariot (ratha) lit with strings of coloured fairy lights in green, yellow and orange against a dark sky. The tall tiered, domed superstructure is decorated with glowing lamps and hanging garlands of flowers, with a central deity murti visible on the lower platform. A figure in white stands near the front of the chariot beside a white fan-like ceremonial whisk. Dark silhouettes of spectators with raised hands and phones occupy the lower foreground, and multicoloured lights line the ground at the bottom right.2015-02-19February 13 20142014-02-13Night procession scene: a tall, illuminated ratha/chariot with a pyramidal tiered roof is lit with multicoloured bulbs, showing deity murti figures on its front panels and garlands. Crowds of people walk along the road beside it, many in white clothes. At left, a golden structure with garlands and a golden animal figure is partly visible. A bus and strings of pink, green and blue lights line the right side. No individual can be clearly identified as a specific person.2015-02-17 +1 copies
