A photograph inside a home room during a padapuja house visit. A man with long dark hair, a red-orange robe, a rudraksha-style red and white flower garland and gold bangles sits on a cushioned seat holding a tall silver staff. A woman in a maroon sari kneels and bows to his feet, which rest in a silver tray. Behind them a standing man in an orange dhoti holds an object, and a young man in orange sits to the side. On the right, a woman in a purple sari with folded hands, a grey-haired man in white with folded hands, a woman in orange folds her hands in namaskar, and several older people in white and pink watch seated on the floor. A wall shelf displays small figurines and an altar corner is visible at the back. Swamiji (probable): the seated man wears long hair, gold bangles, a flower garland and a red-orange robe, consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji's darshan.2014-07-07 +1 copiesPhotograph of a seated man on an ornate gilded throne with lion-head armrests, wearing an orange-brown dhoti and shawl with a red and white flower garland and gold necklaces; a gold bangle is on his wrist. A tiger-striped cushion lies beneath the throne. In front, several people in white and maroon clothes sit around a gold tray with silver plates of offerings, flowers, and oil lamps. Brass hanging lamps and bells hang behind the throne, with a black wall and a wooden door on the right. The man on the throne is a probable Swamiji by appearance: long swept-back hair, ornate gold jewellery and a red and white garland, seated as the presiding figure of a puja.2013-07-17July 02 20142014-07-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a devotee's home room. A man in a long rust-red robe with a rudraksha mala and long dark hair, wearing a thick red and yellow marigold garland, steps through a wooden door smiling and raising one hand in greeting. Beside him a bare-chested saffron-robed attendant with shaved head walks at the doorway, and a man in white dhoti and shirt stands behind. On the right a side table draped in red and gold cloth holds a tray of fruit and flowers, with a framed portrait of a figure in saffron wearing a beaded necklace, garlanded with white and yellow flowers. An oil lamp sits on the floor at the table's base. A bed with a blue checked cover is at left.2014-07-01A seated man in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne upholstered in cream and a zebra-striped cloth, wearing a long gold-beaded necklace and a white vertical forehead mark, with his eyes closed and hands resting in his lap. In front of him are silver trays with offerings, flowers, fruit and small bowls, and a yellow-and-white flower garland. A bald priest in white dhoti and shawl with a white forehead mark pours or tends to offerings, while two women in orange and red sarees with forehead marks and beads sit kneeling nearby. Brass bells hang from the ceiling and a black backdrop with an orange-and-yellow curtain frames the room. The seated figure has a distinctive long swept-back hair and saffron robe with gold necklace cues, so he is presented as a probable Swamiji.2013-03-04June 23 20142014-06-23 +2 copiesJuly 01 20142014-07-01May 25 20132013-05-25 +2 copiesA photograph of a seated man with swept-back grey hair wearing a rust-red garment, a white and yellow marigold garland and a layered brown and gold beaded necklace, sitting on an orange cushioned seat. A shaved-headed young sannyasi in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala kneels nearby. Three women sit on the floor: one in a teal sari with hands folded in namaskar, one in a dark blue sari pouring from a brass vessel near a long silver staff, and one in a white and red-checked shawl gesturing with her hand. A man in white clothing stands at the right. Behind them is a wall shrine with framed portraits, a small altar with brass lamps and a television mounted on the wall. The seated man's clothing and adornments are the cues for a person identification, and the image is a candid room scene with no visible readable text.2014-07-10A photograph inside a small room decorated with orange cloth and a framed deity picture at upper left, where a seated man in orange robes and a long white and red flower garland receives ritual attention. He holds a silver-coloured ceremonial staff or standing lamp stand. Nearby, a bald man in white dhoti and shirt kneels beside a brass plate holding a bowl and fruit, while a woman in a white sari kneels in front. Around them stand devotees and sannyasis in orange and saffron robes, some with rudraksha malas, plus a woman in a purple sari and a man in white clothing. The walls display framed photographs.2014-07-04 +1 copiesA seated man in saffron-orange robes sits on a plush maroon throne in front of a large arch of flower garlands in green, white, yellow, red and purple. He wears layered gold and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces over red flower garlands, gold bangles on his wrists, a small gold earring, and a red kumkum dot on his forehead. He is smiling and gazing to the side with his bare feet visible. Behind him is a pink wall and a decorated backdrop. A golden object is partially visible at the right edge. Swamiji (probable) is seated centrally, identifiable by his long swept-back hair, saffron robes, ornate gold necklaces and rudraksha-style adornment.2013-05-25July 07 20142014-07-07 +1 copies
