Night photograph of a crowd gathered outdoors near a brick building at a temple procession. In the centre a man in a plain white shirt and white dhoti holds a small object in both hands, possibly a camphor or offering dish. Around him men and boys stand close together, some bare-chested with sacred ash marks, one in a red shirt, and a boy in a yellow-and-white outfit. A woman in a patterned sari stands at right, and a man with red beads and a sacred thread appears at the right edge. A person in the background holds a camera. No visible presentation of a person candidate is distinct enough to identify, so the figures are described by role and dress only.2006-10-26December 28 20062006-12-28A dim, crowded night scene in a temple corridor with stone walls, where many men and some women press together looking upward. In the right foreground, a man in an orange-red garment with a rudraksha-style bead necklace stands beside a man in a white shirt and a bald man in a light jacket. A man in a white shirt stands at the center-top. The crowd fills the frame and the light is warm and low. The orange-clad figure is a possible a person candidate, but the face and presence are not clearly established from appearance cues alone.2006-12-04Night photograph of a dense crowd pressing along a narrow stone-walled passage. Several men in dark or white shirts and a few in orange-red cloth stand close together. One man near the centre-right wears an orange-red shawl over his shoulder, and a man at the centre has a light-coloured shirt. Motion blur and heavy shadow obscure faces and details. A small logo appears at the top left and a copyright caption sits at the lower right.2006-12-04Night outdoor gathering at an ashram-style grounds with bright floodlights and a large crowd of devotees in white shirts, dhotis and colourful saris. A bald man in a pinkish-orange kurta with a gold-coloured border stands at centre, looking toward the crowd. A woman with a long grey braid in an orange-yellow sari is in the foreground, and a white van with an orange flag stands in the background near a blue barrier. Trees and lamp posts frame the scene.2013-01-06January 08 20122012-01-08January 13 20152015-01-13Night photograph of a large outdoor procession crowd at a temple-like ashram ground, lit by string lights in red, green and blue strung along a structure in the background and a bright lamp near an illuminated decorated float or ratha on the right. Many men wear white shirts and white dhotis, some with shawls, and a few wear brown or orange-toned clothing; one person wears a blue turban and another wears a purple sari. Several people raise arms and dance or move energetically in the sandy open ground. No individual can be reliably identified as the a person from appearance, so the a person field is unsure.2016-03-07August 20 20062006-08-20November 24 20062006-11-24Night procession at an outdoor ashram event. A lit golden palanquin or ratha carrying a deity murti is decorated with yellow and orange marigold garlands and hangs beneath a string of small paper bunting flags. Many men in plain white dhoti and white shirts crowd around it, several bending forward with hands together. One man in the right foreground wears a bright orange-red shawl over white clothes. Palm trees are visible above the crowd.2007-12-30January 13 20152015-01-13
