A bare-chested man on the left, wearing a red thread on his wrist and a sacred thread, holds a white and gold cloth over the head of a seated priest in an orange-saffron robe with a rudraksha mala and a gold ear ornament. Behind them a white-clad attendant holds the cloth and a shaven-headed man in white watches. Several devotees stand in the background under a decorated ceiling.2012-06-05June 05 20122012-06-05A crowded temple procession in a stone-pillared hall. In the centre, a man with long swept-back hair, a red-orange garment, a red floral crown, a thick rudraksha mala and layered gold ceremonial necklaces, is being guided forward by an elderly man with a shaved head, a white garment and white flower garlands. The elderly man lifts a gold-bordered white cloth to his forehead. Around them, men in saffron and orange robes and white dhotis with gold borders, along with women and onlookers, move through the crowd, and a devotee in a white cloth holds up a phone to take a picture. The central figure's appearance with long hair, ornate gold necklaces and orange clothing is consistent with Swamiji (probable), with his role as the figure being guided through the procession.2012-06-05October 05 20172017-10-05A photograph of a ceremonial scene indoors. A bare-chested devotee with a white cloth wrapped over his eyes and head bows forward while two men in white dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas support and hold his shoulders and head. The man on the right wears a gold necklace and gold bangles and presses a hand to the devotee's head. On the far right in the foreground, a long-haired person with a beard, gold earrings and a gold necklace, wearing an orange-brown shawl, sits or stands with bare shoulders and faces the group, their clothing and profile partly visible. Behind them several other people in white and red head coverings are visible.2016-10-16A photograph of a ritual scene in an indoor hall with a red curtain behind. Several men in white dhotis with gold-bordered cloth and rudraksha malas stand around a bare-backed young man bending forward with his head bowed, his eyes covered by a red cloth band. A bearded man in white with a rudraksha mala and gold bracelets presses his hand on the bowed man's head while another man in white holds his arm. At the lower right a figure in a saffron-orange shawl with long hair and a gold necklace sits with eyes closed. Other men in white with red eye bands and white forehead marks stand in the background.2016-10-16A photograph of a ritual blessing in an ashram setting. A bare-chested devotee with shaved-looking head covered by a white cloth bends forward while a long-haired man in an orange-red shawl places his hand on the devotee's head. Beside them, a standing man with long hair, a rudraksha mala and gold ornaments wears a white dhoti with an orange-and-gold cloth draped over one shoulder. Another person in orange stands at the left edge, and a wooden carved panel is visible at the right. The devotee has white markings on the shoulders and back, and the blessing giver wears rudraksha beads and gold earrings and bracelets.2017-06-20October 16 20162016-10-16A photograph of a ritual scene in a hall with red curtains. A man in a white dhoti with a gold-bordered shawl and a rudraksha mala bends forward with his head bowed, while two men in white and gold-bordered dhotis steady him and press their hands on his head and back. One man wears a red blindfold and another wears a red headband with a dark mala. On the right, a bearded man with long dreadlocked hair wears a saffron-orange wrap, gold ornaments and gold bangles, and places his hand on the bowed man's head. The setting suggests a blessing or initiation rite with several onlookers behind.2016-10-16October 16 20162016-10-16A photo of a initiation or deeksha ritual indoors.
