A seated man with long swept-back hair and a dark beard sits on an ornate gold throne with a tiered gold canopy, wearing orange-saffron robes, a rudraksha mala, a large gold pendant, gold bracelets and a pink-white flower garland. A bald priest in orange robes with a sacred ash marking on his arm kneels at left, presenting a dark wooden box with both hands. A small orange cushion rests before the throne, and a painted deity backdrop with raised hands holding a trident-like object and a lamp stands behind the throne. Appearance-based label: Swamiji (probable), seated on the throne with qualifying cues of long hair, saffron clothing, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklace. The priest is a bald attendant in orange robes.2016-10-12October 12 20162016-10-12December 02 20162016-12-02A man with long dark hair and a beard sits smiling on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion, wearing a rust-brown robe, a large orange and white flower garland, a gold necklace and rudraksha bracelets on his arms. A gold trident stands beside him and a red footstool rests in front. Seated to the left, a figure in orange robes covers the face with folded hands; to the right, a woman in a maroon and gold sari with a rudraksha mala sits attentively. Behind them, a painted backdrop shows a dark night forest with glowing red trees and a crescent moon. Probable Swamiji by appearance cues: long swept-back hair, rudraksha malas, ceremonial gold necklace and enthroned seating, visible in person. A few other people are partially visible at the right edge in white and saffron clothing.2017-04-08April 08 20172017-04-08A seated man in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne with a multi-tiered golden canopy and carved lion figures. He wears a pink and white flower garland, a gold pendant, rudraksha mala beads, and bangles, with long hair swept back and a full beard; his eyes are closed and he smiles. Beside him a shaven-headed priest in orange dhoti with white tilak and bare upper body holds up a purple box or tray as an offering. Behind the throne hangs a large painted backdrop of a deity with raised hands holding a lamp and a trident, and gold leaf decorations hang above. A red cloth covers the dais and a red floor carpet lies in front. The appearance matches the description of the presiding figure and the page places a person at this event, so this is a probable identification from visible cues: long swept hair, saffron robes, rudraksha mala, and ceremonial gold ornaments.2016-10-12September 11 20162016-09-11 +1 copiesA photograph of a seated man on an ornate gold lotus-petal throne with a red velvet cushion, in front of a shrine with deity murtis draped in garlands of white and pink flowers and lit by brass lamps. He wears a rust-red saffron-toned cloth, a heavy gold necklace, a white flower garland and a rudraksha-style mala, with red-thread wristbands. Beside him a person with long braided hair in white clothes sits facing him, and another person in a red sari stands at the right edge. Brass oil lamps and flowers surround the throne. The man is an appearance-based candidate with long swept-back hair, ornate gold jewellery and saffron-toned clothing, but the match is uncertain.2017-08-07A seated man in a rust-brown saffron-toned robe and matching brown turban sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions and carved lion-shaped arms. He wears a pink and white braided garland, layered gold chains, a large gold pendant, gold armlets and a tilak on his forehead. Two bare-chested young men in white dhotis with orange-brown shawls sit in front of the throne with their backs to the camera, one with hands joined in prayer. A golden backrest with a circular medallion stands behind him, with hanging oil lamps and bells at the sides. This is a probable Swamiji candidate given the turban, rudraksha-style adornments, gold ornaments and ceremonial saffron-toned clothing, shown on a throne during a pada puja setting.2017-05-12A photograph of a ceremonial initiation on a stage with a deep red curtain. A seated man on an ornate gold throne with red cushions wears a saffron-orange robe, a white-and-red garland, beaded necklaces and bracelets, and a white vibhuti mark on his forehead; his long hair is swept back, and he closes his eyes while another man stands before him. The standing man, bare-chested with white body markings, wears a white dhoti with a striped border and a sacred thread, and holds a yellow-coloured item to the seated man's head. Nearby stands a tall gold trident and a brass oil lamp, and another attendant in white holds a plate. The scene suggests a Shiva deeksha initiation ritual. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure in the saffron robe, long swept-back hair, garlands and ornate gold throne, presiding over the initiation.2017-04-26October 12 20162016-10-12April 20 20172017-04-20
