A man at centre holds rudraksha beads in his hands in prayer, while others with folded palms stand at the water's edge, some wading down a metal ramp into the water. Women in white saris with yellow borders join the group, and a girl in green and red clothing with an orange shawl stands among them. Sacks sit on the steps and a metal railing runs along the ramp. The scene suggests a ritual bathing or abhishekam offering at the tank.2010-10-22 +1 copiesSeptember 18 20152015-09-18February 24 20172017-02-24December 23 20162016-12-23December 06 20162016-12-06Night-time outdoor gathering on red-painted stone steps under a dark sky. A man in a loose white kurta and glasses stands at the left edge looking upward, beside a shaven-headed man in white clothes with a white shawl. Seated devotees and attendees in white dhotis and kurtas fill the steps, while a bald man in a white dhoti with a red border and a child in striped clothes sit lower down. Several white-clad people stand to the right. Figures appear to be watching something above, possibly a ceremony. No readable text is visible. a person identity cannot be established from the appearance of these figures.2011-07-16A procession descends a red-painted stone staircase at dusk outdoors. In the centre, a man with long dark hair and a beard wears an orange-saffron garment and a long rudraksha mala, and holds a round parasol-like canopy above him. Behind him, several men in saffron and orange robes walk down the steps, one carrying a folded orange cloth. On the left and right edges, two men in white dhotis with gold-bordered cloth and bead necklaces hold tall ceremonial staffs; the right staff ends in a golden finial. Red flags on poles and a banana-leaf arrangement frame the scene, with a white lantern-like structure at right and a golden kalasha-topped pillar behind. The scene reads as a ritual procession with saffron-clad participants and attendants.2017-02-24September 16 20152015-09-16 +1 copiesSeptember 10 20152015-09-10Night-time photo of a riverside ghat with stone steps lit by warm oil lamps. A group of about a dozen people in white and cream dhotis and saris sit on the steps around a cluster of brass oil lamps set on a red cloth, apparently performing a lamp ritual. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti stands in the foreground with his back partly turned. Some devotees wear orange or red garments. Metal railings, red flags and a crowd of onlookers fill the background on the left.2016-12-06
