A man with long dark hair, a white forehead marking, a red-and-orange shawl and layered gold necklaces walks barefoot along a woven straw mat, wearing a red-orange garland and carrying a silver tray. Around him, saffron-clad men with white tilaka and beads stand with hands folded, and several women in red and pink saris press palms together in namaskar. A small golden deity murti and a red-painted shrine block sit at the right edge, with a patterned blue rug on the ground. Swamiji (probable): the walking man wears a long dark-haired presentation with ornate gold necklaces and a garland, consistent with the page's reference to the event.2013-03-10June 07 20162016-06-07A procession on a dirt path beneath a large banyan tree. A man in the centre wears a rust-orange dhoti and shawl with gold borders and a long gold-beaded garland, and he walks forward with his head lowered. Behind him, a line of saffron and orange-robed sannyasis and devotees stands along the path, several with shaved heads and rudraksha malas. Women in red-and-gold saris stand with palms pressed together on the left, and two ceremonial standards with embroidered fabric hang from the branches. Green leaves frame the upper edge of the scene.2013-11-05December 23 20162016-12-23February 05 20152015-02-05A man in a maroon-brown robe stands on a wet stone pathway beside a large banyan tree with aerial roots. He wears a long multicolour flower garland of white, yellow, red and green blooms, a gold necklace with a large ornate pendant, and beaded rudraksha-style strands, with a tilak on his forehead. Several men in saffron-orange robes stand nearby, one at left holding a silver tray of pink and white flowers, another at centre with hands folded in namaskar. A sannyasi-style figure at centre-left also has hands pressed together. Potted plants and a stone platform surround the courtyard, with a small camera on a stand near the tree. Padapuja gathering context is suggested by the offerings and devotees in attendance.2017-09-02January 01 20172017-01-01A photograph of a procession on a paved courtyard beside a red-roofed building and palm trees. In the foreground a man with long swept-back hair, bare-chested and wearing a red-and-gold dhoti, a red and white flower garland and a gold necklace, walks barefoot with his hands joined near his chest. Behind him a bald man in a red-and-gold dhoti carries a tall wooden staff, and a second man in similar red robes raises a pointing finger. Several rows of people in saffron-orange robes walk with hands folded in prayer, and a woman in a yellow shawl and white sari stands among them. A decorated ceremonial umbrella with a red and gold canopy is held aloft, and palm fronds hang overhead. The scene reads as a ritual procession.2014-11-26
