A street procession of many costumed performers marching toward the camera on a dusty road under a clear blue sky, with trees behind. In the centre a figure with blue-painted face and a tall red-and-gold crown carries a trident, wears an orange dhoti and a tiger-striped gold-trimmed tunic with a flower garland, and walks barefoot in the lead. Around him dancers in turquoise trousers, pink tunics, gold armour and gold crowns hold round red-and-gold shields and swords. Spectators stand at the edges in white shirts and dhotis. This appears to be a costumed street procession; a traditional Shiva-style figure is visible, but no printed name or caption identifies the performers.2007-02-02February 02 20072007-02-02February 02 20072007-02-02February 02 20072007-02-02February 02 20072007-02-02December 16 20172017-12-16December 16 20172017-12-16 +1 copiesDecember 30 20082008-12-30A procession on a dirt road under trees shows four men in elaborate folk-costume dress with gold crowns and white fur-like plumes, their faces painted white with red and black markings. The foreground figure in the centre wears a red jacket with ornate gold chest and arm pieces, multiple rudraksha-style beaded necklaces, and green leggings with bells at the ankles, holding a red-tasseled staff. To the left, a man in an orange tunic holds a sword-like blade. Behind them, a decorated palanquin covered in yellow marigold garlands carries a small deity murti under a silver and pink canopy, and spectators in white shirts and dhotis line the route. A man at right carries a large ceremonial drum.2007-02-02December 30 20082008-12-30A photograph of a performer in a folk-style costume during an outdoor cultural performance on sand. He wears orange garments with gold shoulder pieces, a long rudraksha mala, and holds a gold-embossed shield and a curved sword. Behind him, several men in yellow dhotis, pink and orange shirts clap and move, and drummers with large drums stand among green bamboo and a red wall.2017-12-16A street procession in daylight with a row of drummers in orange and gold turbans and orange-and-gold patterned tunics, playing large yellow drums decorated with pink and blue fabric. In the right foreground a performer in a red tunic with gold trim, a purple embroidered vest, a gold crown-like headpiece, white plumes and a rudraksha mala stretches his arm forward. Behind him a man in an orange robe walks at the left edge, and police and spectators line the roadside under trees. Scattered confetti covers the road.2016-04-18 +1 copies
