Three boys in white kurta-style tunics and white trousers sit on dusty ground in the shade of a palm tree, eating from steel thali plates with rice and vegetables. The boy in the centre wears spectacles and a red tilak on his forehead and holds food in his right hand; the boy on the left eats barefoot, and the boy on the right holds a plate in both hands. A partially visible child sits behind them. No a person candidate is visible, and the scene shows a Little Anandas youth programme meal break.

Outdoor scene on dry dirt ground beside a white-walled structure. Several men in plain white dhotis and white shirts sit cross-legged on yellow cloth mats, eating from fresh green banana leaves set before them. Each leaf holds mounds of white rice and yellow-tinted rice with other food. A man standing at right in a white dhoti and shirt serves food from a metal pot. Other seated people in white clothing, some wearing garlands, and rows of sandals are visible in the background.

2002 - Glimpses From Various Programs

Outdoor lunch break under a thatched open-sided shelter with wooden posts and a red tiled floor, surrounded by green shrubs. Devotees in plain white shirts, white dhotis and white kurtas eat from metal plates; a man in the foreground on the left wears a dark rudraksha-style mala and an ID badge, while a seated man in white holds a plate of food and another man at right eats from a steel plate. Several women in white saris and cream blouses also sit and eat. Light-coloured plastic chairs and a few people standing with plates suggest a communal meal during an inner healing training break.

Several people sit cross-legged on a bare concrete floor under a open shelter with wooden posts, eating a meal from steel plates. A man in the centre wears a white dhoti and a blue-and-white checked cloth over his shoulder, holding food in his right hand and gesturing as he talks. Beside him, a man in an off-white shirt and white dhoti eats from a plate. On the left, a man in a rust-brown patterned shirt and orange-yellow dhoti with a red wrist thread eats, and a girl in a red-and-orange dress sits with her hands together. A woman in white sits behind them, and other people, including a boy in a bright blue shirt, sit further back. The scene looks like a communal meal, with plates of rice and curry on the floor.

Outdoors under a shaded open structure with banana plants and trees behind, several men in plain white dhoti-style clothes eat from stainless steel plates of rice and food. The man in the centre, wearing a white kurta and a red bindi, lifts food to his mouth with his right hand. A young man at left holds a steel plate, another stands behind in white, and a man at right eats with his fingers, wearing a red thread and a bangle. Some wear red-and-white sacred threads around their necks. No visible candidate matches the a person description, so this is a meal of devotees after a ritual. Roughly half a dozen people are visible.

Three men sit cross-legged on a pale marble floor eating from clay plates during a ritual meal. The man in the centre wears a white kurta and white trousers and uses his fingers to arrange food on a terracotta plate holding rice, yellow dal and a green chilli. To his left, a grey-haired man in white holds a small clay cup, and to his right a man with a moustache and a dark mala necklace in white clothing eats from a plate. Feet and white garments of other people appear at the edges, with potted plants behind.

Three men in plain white shirts and white dhotis stand on a paved courtyard, each holding a metal plate of food. The man on the left, with a moustache and a short red-and-cream string at his neck, holds a plate with a bright bowl of food; the middle man, grey-haired with white tripundra markings on his forehead, serves from a plate with both hands; the man on the right, wearing a gold wristwatch, lifts a plate of rice. Behind them an orange brick building with a green roof, young palm trees, a white car and a few other people in white and saffron-coloured clothing walk through the area.

Two men in plain white shirts and white trousers sit under an open shelter eating rice from stainless steel plates. The man on the left, with a moustache and a red-thread wristband, points at his plate holding yellow rice and a flat pappadum-like cracker. The younger man on the right, with long dark hair, leans over his own plate of rice with a spoon. Behind them are dry earth, green grass, a wooden post and a green plastic container. No a person candidate is visible.

A photograph of ashram participants eating a meal under a thatched open-sided shelter with wooden posts, surrounded by green trees and bushes. Most people wear all-white clothing: men in white shirts and dhotis or trousers, and women in white saris with coloured borders. Several seated men hold round metal plates of food, one eating with his hand while others serve or stand nearby. A man in the foreground sits on a wooden post at right, holding a plate of yellow curry. The floor is reddish tile, and lanyards are visible on some people.
