A photograph of a Hindu temple worship scene. Two men in orange saffron clothing stand before a golden deity murti of Shiva Linga with a silver-and-gold shaft and a black stone base, draped in a garland of yellow, red, white and green flowers. A man in a left-side position holds a brass vessel of offerings; the central figure with long dark hair and a red-beaded mala pours or offers over the linga. Behind them, large deity figures in orange and gold garments wear crowns and gold necklaces, with a small white-robed statue and an orange turban on a pedestal in front. This appears to be abhishekam puja.2012-01-01A large blue-grey Shiva lingam is draped with a garland arch of marigolds and multicoloured flower strands in yellow, purple, red and green, with a white floral border. Behind it, a group of shaven-headed priests in saffron and orange robes perform a ritual, with one central figure wearing a rudraksha mala and holding a small silver vessel. Terraced rows of terracotta pots line the background below a red brick building, with string lights strung overhead and a man in white at the right edge.2015-02-17 +1 copiesA photograph of an outdoor abhishekam at a large dark stone lingam wrapped in a rainbow garland of red, orange, yellow, purple and white flowers. To the right, a second man in an orange dhoti with a sacred thread stands with his hands folded. Brass pots sit on the stone platform. Spectators sit on terraced steps in the background.2016-12-16A large black Shiva lingam stands in a stadium-like setting, decorated with a thick garland of marigolds and multicoloured flower strands in orange, yellow, purple and white, with a matching floral skirt-like base. Several saffron-robed monks climb a white metal staircase and platform beside it, raising their fists in the air. A row of seated spectators in white clothing sits in the stands, and a red brick wall with potted plants lines the right side. No individual is clearly identifiable as a specific personality from this view.2015-02-19December 18 20162016-12-18June 10 20132013-06-10 +1 copiesJanuary 13 20152015-01-13June 24 20132013-06-24A photograph of a large dark polished Shivalinga draped with a multicoloured garland of red, yellow, white, green, purple and orange flowers.
