Around it, people sit and stand on striped woven rugs and chairs; several wear white dhotis or kurtas with red shoulder sashes, and a woman in a white sari sits on the ground near the fire. Shrine-like lit interior and a banner portrait are visible at the upper right, with a row of seated devotees under a covered canopy at left. The scene reads as a fire ritual with an attentive gathering.

Several seated devotees hold small brass plates or cups in front of them. Mats in purple and green patterns lie at the lower left.
