A man seated on an ornate silver throne with a leopard-print cloth and a flower garland, wearing red-orange cloth and a turban-like headwear, sits to the left. A standing priest in an orange-red wrap and dark hair knot faces the deity figures and offers worship. Behind the throne is a painted temple tower against a red-purple backdrop, with golden statues of standing figures holding offerings. On the right, a golden shrine holds deity murti decorated with colourful flower garlands and green-and-gold garments. A kneeling assistant in dark clothing sits at the lower right near brass lamps and offerings, under a multicoloured fringed canopy. Overhead are stage lights and a fringed red curtain.2018-04-25 +1 copiesFebruary 27 20162016-02-27May 05 20172017-05-05A photograph of a stage set for a formal satsang, with a seated figure on a large gold throne at centre. The seated person wears an orange-saffron robe, a saffron head wrap with a small white crest, and a long white flower garland, and is seated with bare feet on a red cushion. A gold umbrella canopy hangs above the throne, and a golden trident stands to the right. Flanking the throne on each side are gold-framed arches holding decorated deity murti dressed in green and red silk with garlands; the left murti wears a green cloth and the right one a red and gold cloth. Behind is a painted backdrop of palm trees and a sunset, and a red-draped stage edge with a small brass lamp stand and an oil lamp beside the throne. The seated figure's identity is not established by appearance, so the description refers to the role only.2015-10-22 +1 copiesThree life-sized figures are seated on a stage with gold-bordered, orange-and-red draped bases, in front of a dark curtain and a wood-carved panel. The central figure wears a tall crown, layered red and white beaded necklaces and a gold-trimmed red shawl, appearing to be a deity murti. Figures on either side wear red turbans or crowns, ornate gold-and-red necklaces and gold-bordered green and red garments. A projection screen at upper right shows a close-up of a bare foot with an anklet.2015-12-07A photograph in a carpeted hotel-style corridor. On the left, several seated deity murtis (statues) in ornate orange, red and blue robes with gold crowns, heavy gold jewellery and red beaded necklaces sit on a yellow-draped platform, with a decorative gold-and-red pennant standing behind them. On the right, three men walk past in saffron and maroon robes; a bearded man in a long orange-saffron shawl and white head covering leads, while a man in a maroon dhoti and maroon turban with a gold-and-white necklace stands smiling near the wall. The statues and the living people are distinct; the statues are not people.2014-03-15
