August 19 20072007-08-19December 19 20062006-12-19Outdoor sculpture workshop with brick walls and gravel floor. A tall figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban stands at right, long dark hair falling over his shoulders, looking down at stone work. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti faces away at left, bent over a grey stone deity sculpture. Two men in striped shirts and dhotis stand behind, with more stone murtis and sculpted pieces on the ground and shelves. The turban and robes and long hair fit the a person candidate description, but appearance alone is not decisive, so the identification is uncertain.2007-08-19December 19 20062006-12-19A photograph at a construction site with bamboo scaffolding and palm trees behind. A large grey stone Nandi bull sculpture with a carved necklace sits at left, and a stone base or platform stands beside it. A man in a plain white shirt stands at centre, hands resting on the stone ledge. At right, a long-haired person with a bare upper body wears an orange-saffron cloth draped over the shoulder and gestures while speaking. A man in a pink-and-white checked shirt is seen from behind at lower left. The person in orange shows a distinctive long dark hair and an orange wrap, but the face and overall appearance are not clearly enough established to confirm identity, so the role is given as a devotee in orange robes.2006-12-19December 19 20062006-12-19December 19 20062006-12-19Night photograph at an outdoor setting beside a large grey stone deity murti, a Dakshinamoorthy-style sculpture with a tall ornate crown. A man in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban stands at left, wearing a long rudraksha mala, with long dark hair visible at his shoulders. Beside him a man in white dhoti and shirt looks on, and another man with a sacred mark on his forehead stands behind the statue. Several other people stand in the dark background, and a fluorescent tube light is visible at right.2004-12-31Photograph taken at night inside a stone-carving workshop. On the left, a figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange head wrap, with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala hanging at the waist, stands beside a wooden post with white cloth. Next to him, a man in a white shirt and a lilac sleeveless vest with a blue lungi holds a long white pole. Behind them, a man in a red shirt and white lungi and another man in a striped shirt stand among unfinished stone sculptures. On the right, a large grey granite carving of a deity murti with a tall ornate crown and multiple arms stands in the foreground, with a smaller carved figure and rough blocks of stone around the workshop floor.2004-12-31September 18 20062006-09-18Outdoor photograph at a rural site under a thatched palm-leaf shelter. A grey stone deity murti with four arms, holding a discus and conch, stands behind a rope being guided by a group of men. In the foreground, several men in white shirts and checked shirts crowd around the statue, one bending low. A bearded man in a saffron-orange robe and matching orange turban stands near the shelter, apparently a sannyasi or priest, though his identity is not established. Greenery and trees are visible behind.2004-06-10A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a red bindi wears a saffron-orange shawl draped over bare shoulders, seated beside a grey stone Nandi bull statue with a carved ornamental collar. Behind him is a wooden scaffold of bamboo poles and ropes, with palm trees, orange and white cloth hanging on a line, and a stone base under construction. The orange cloth and long hair suggest a person appearance, with the seated person's role as a devotee or sannyasi beside the sacred bull. Another partly visible person stands at the right edge.2006-12-19
