A seated figure in a rust-orange turban and orange-and-yellow robe, wearing a multi-strand rudraksha-style mala, places his right hand on the forehead of a standing man in a white kurta with an orange scarf printed with script. The standing man holds his palms together in namaste. Behind them, a gold-carved throne and red drapes frame the scene, and two people in white and red garments stand in the background. Probable Swamiji (probable) appears as the seated figure, identified by turban, mala and robe cues, giving a blessing.2015-10-25A photograph of an initiation moment. A shaved-headed man in an orange shawl printed with script and a rudraksha mala stands bare-chested with his eyes lowered. A long-haired officiant with dreadlocks and a bare chest places his right hand on the man's head. Behind them, people in orange and white garments stand near a folded paper or script held up, and a small golden deity murti is visible in the lower right. The setting is an indoor hall with red drapes.2017-06-24A photograph of a man with long, swept-back dark hair and a beard, bare-chested, wearing an orange-brown wrap and a brown rudraksha mala around his neck, pressing his palm to the forehead of a devotee in a white shirt. The devotee has eyes closed and a smear of ash on his forehead, and a long orange scarf printed with script hangs around his neck, which the man holds. Behind them stands a white-robed attendant, a red curtain and a golden pillar frame the setting, and an ID lanyard hangs from the devotee. The man's appearance (long hair, rudraksha, orange wrap) is consistent with the page's identification of a person, but the face-based identity is uncertain.2016-06-27 +1 copiesAugust 01 20142014-08-01A bare-chested man with long dreadlocked hair, a white tilak on his forehead, rudraksha malas and a saffron-orange shawl touches the crown of a kneeling devotee's head with his right hand. The devotee wears a white shirt, an orange-and-black patterned shawl, a gold bracelet and a ring, and presses his palms together in prayer. Behind them, other people in white dhotis with orange shawls stand, and a gold-decorated wall forms the backdrop. A man holding a slip of paper stands nearby. The scene suggests a blessing or pada puja style ritual touch. The central figure is a person, identified by long swept-back dreadlocks, a rudraksha mala and saffron clothing, in the role of a ritual blesser.2017-08-09 +1 copiesJuly 07 20172017-07-07August 09 20172017-08-09A photograph of a ritual blessing in an indoor temple-style room.
