March 27 20162016-03-27A homa fire burns in a yellow stone fire pit decorated with pink flower petals, with coconut halves and offerings arranged around it. Two men perform the ritual: on the left, a bare-chested man wears a green headcloth, a necklace of gold beads and a red-and-white dhoti, holding a small cup; beside him, a younger man wears an orange cloth, a beaded necklace and a sacred thread, holding a small brass vessel. To the right, a decorated deity murti stands draped in yellow and green cloth, garlanded with yellow marigolds and red flowers, with a brass lamp and metal vessels nearby. Gold-coloured ritual vessels and a brass lamp stand at the edges of the scene.2016-03-27A photograph of a homa fire ceremony at a temple-style setting. In the foreground, a bare-chested priest wearing a green turban and a green dhoti over a red cloth, with beaded rudraksha-style necklaces, pours an offering into a flaming fire pit lined with yellow brick and decorated with pink flower petals. Behind him, a second priest in a white dhoti and orange shawl with a beaded necklace leans forward. To the right, a golden deity murti is garlanded with yellow marigolds and red flowers, with coconuts and brass vessels placed in front. A devotee in orange sits at the far right edge. Gold and ornate decorations fill the background.2016-03-27June 23 20172017-06-23March 27 20162016-03-27March 27 20162016-03-27January 02 20162016-01-02 +1 copiesSeptember 19 20152015-09-19December 07 20162016-12-07July 19 20132013-07-19Photo 11701973 +2 copiesOctober 18 20152015-10-18
