August 25 20142014-08-25Night-time photo of a large painted Ganesha murti in a kneeling pose, with a blue elephant face, gold crown, orange body, turquoise patterned lower garment, gold armlets and a blue-and-white round shield held in one hand, with a garland of white flowers around its neck. A young man in saffron-orange robes with white body markings stands beside it, touching the murti's shoulder, while a bare-chested figure in orange appears at the right edge. A red-draped platform supports the murti under a corrugated roof, with fairy lights visible in the background.2014-08-25November 16 20152015-11-16November 16 20152015-11-16March 15 20162016-03-15A person with long dark hair, seen from behind, stands barefoot on a mat in a hall, wearing an orange saffron-coloured dhoti and matching upper wrap, with arms raised in a gesture before a large painted multi-armed deity murti. The deity is golden-orange with a crown, moustache, many arms holding weapons and objects, and sits within a blue, pink and green painted niche. To the left is an ornate gold and red throne with a garland, and a small figure stands nearby. A dark maroon velvet curtain hangs at right on a polished white floor. Oil lamps hang from the upper left.2012-04-14August 13 20172017-08-13March 15 20162016-03-15A photograph of a figure with long dark hair and a bare upper body, wearing an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, standing barefoot on a mat in a hall facing a large painted deity figure. The deity has multiple arms holding a trident-like staff, a bell, a drum and other implements, a gold crown and red face, and is set against a blue, pink and green painted wall with a golden throne-like seat with red cushions and a flower garland on the left. A small pink figurine stands near the base of the wall. The figure's arms are raised toward the deity. A dark red curtain hangs on the right. The scene suggests a ritual or devotional gesture before the deity mural.2012-04-14A photograph of a single figure standing on a dimly lit stage in front of a large painted backdrop of a multi-armed red and white deity murti with a crescent moon above. The standing person wears an orange-red dhoti-style garment with an orange shawl, a long gold necklace and a rudraksha-style mala, and a dark crown-like headdress. He holds a silver trident in one hand. A low dark stool or seat sits beside him, flanked by potted green plants and stones, lit with green and blue stage lights and a purple-blue floor glow. Top left shows a small logo; the scene is an indoor stage setting with foliage.2016-03-15Night outdoor scene at a festival: a large painted effigy of a demon with a red face, gold crown, gold shield and a raised golden sword sits on a yellow wooden platform. A shirtless young man in red dhoti grips the effigy's shoulder from behind. A woman in orange sari holds a long white rope or cord raised beside them. Two oil lamps with flames burn at the platform edges, and a crowd of spectators stands behind under strings of multicoloured lights. A yellow-clad attendant sits in the lower foreground.2016-11-05October 30 20162016-10-30
