A street scene photographed through a car window, with a large leafy tree in the centre. A man in a red shirt and dark trousers stands at the base of the tree beside a parked bicycle, apparently working near a wall covered in colourful printed posters. A small red-and-white poster is pinned to the tree trunk, showing a figure in orange robes and a turban beside printed text. A white plastic bag hangs from a branch near the trunk. Concrete pillars and a dark gate frame the left side of the frame, and a car side mirror is visible at the lower right.2011-11-10Photo taken through a vehicle windscreen of a roadside scene with a large tree whose trunk is painted with white and black bands. A small printed poster is tied to a branch, showing a smiling figure in orange saffron clothing and a saffron head wrap, with red and white text panels below. Several people sit in the shade of trees at the roadside, wearing light and coloured clothing. A purple dashboard edge is visible at the bottom of the frame.2011-11-10Outdoor view from above of a tree-lined street with a large spreading tree dominating the upper frame. Below, a white railing with a strip of yellow and green marigold-style bunting runs along a path. Several people stand, walk and sit along the road; a man rides a motorcycle at right, and a few men in uniform or khaki-coloured clothes stand near a gate in the foreground. Two large printed banners on poles at right show rows of portrait photographs, and a white tent canopy is visible further back. A small white van is parked near the tree and a few stalls or cloth-covered goods sit under the shade. Dry, dusty ground and bright daylight.2007-02-02A photo taken through a vehicle's windscreen of a tree-lined road on a sunny day. A small red-and-white poster is tied to the trunk of a large tree on the right, showing a portrait photo of a person in saffron-toned clothing, with printed text beside it. The trunk is wrapped with white and black bands. A silver SUV drives along the road toward the camera's left, and a few pedestrians are visible far down the road. A utility pole stands at right. The windscreen's purple dashboard edge is visible at the bottom.2011-11-10May 17 20072007-05-17A dusty dirt clearing shaded by large spreading trees with black and white painted trunks. A small open-sided shelter with a red corrugated roof and green panels stands at left, with a figure in white visible inside its dark doorway. A yellow sign on a post reads in Tamil script beside a wire fence, and dry scrubland and hills lie beyond. No people are prominent in the foreground; the scene shows a rural outdoor site with no visible udal drums or kattumurthy ritual activity.2007-05-09May 17 20072007-05-17May 20 20072007-05-20A photograph of an outdoor gateway on a dirt road lined with trees and palms. A man in white dhoti and shirt bends low at the left gate, reaching toward a potted plant beside a banner. A group of about seven people in white clothes stands on the dirt road, including a woman in orange holding a pale yellow parasol and a person in orange robes carrying a black bag. Another man in white with a yellow shawl bends at the right gate. A black-and-white banner on the left gate shows Tamil text and a portrait of a figure in orange. A gate and small roadside shrine structure are visible in the background.2009-08-08A photograph of an outdoor entrance beside a tree and dirt ground. A cream banner hangs across a metal gate on a concrete pillar, printed with a blue logo and Tamil text. A poster with a woman in orange clothing and a phone number is tied to the tree trunk on the left. A lone figure in a light shirt walks along a path in the background, and dappled shade covers the ground.November 19 20052005-11-19January 20 20102010-01-20
