The figure on the left wears a green turban-like headdress with a gold band and crescent, a green garment, layered pearl and bead necklaces, and a raised hand holding a small object. The figure on the right wears an ornate jewelled crown in red, green and white, large earrings, a nose ring, a pink and green saree with gold border, and pearl garlands. Both faces are polished gold with red lips. The figures are statues, not people.June 23 20092009-06-23A photograph of two painted white marble deity statues standing on rectangular bases on a grey carpeted floor in an unfinished hall. The foreground statue is a female deity in a coral-pink sari with gold trim, green sash, gold crown with a peacock-feather plume, gold necklace and earrings, raising one hand in a gesture of blessing while holding a stem with a green-and-pink flower. Behind it stands a second statue in yellow dhoti with a green shawl and purple garland, its hands raised near its face, playing a flute. Scaffolding, ladders, wooden crates and a person in orange and white clothing with a video camera are in the background. No living people are in the foreground beside the statues.2007-11-07September 26 20112011-09-26
