At the far right, a figure in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange turban sits with head resting on hand, with long hair visible at the shoulder. A man in a white kurta stands at left, serving or walking past the table. A wall-mounted vertical blind, framed notices on the wall and a television sit behind them, and a beige armchair is at lower right. Four men sit at a long table covered with green banana leaves, eating from small steel bowls and tumblers. On the right, a standing sannyasi in saffron robe and orange head-wrap, with long hair, is turned toward the seated diners and appears to be addressing them. A man in white dhoti with bare torso and forehead marks stands nearby, and a woman in white sari stands by the table. Behind them is a framed portrait of a figure in saffron, garlanded with white and multicoloured flower strings, beside a brass vessel on a white-draped stand. The scene suggests an annadhan food distribution.2006-01-01June 22 20092009-06-22A photograph of a meal service inside a plain room with pale blue walls and wooden cupboard doors.
