A painted poster titled in red Tamil script as Madurai Aadheenam shows a seated sannyasi-style teacher on a red cushioned dais before a golden arched backdrop with deer motifs. He is bare-chested with a red-orange cloth draped over his shoulder, wears rudraksha malas across his chest and arms, a tripundra with a red bindi, and a crown-like ornament at the chest. Silver ritual vessels, a bowl, a covered box and a lidded urn sit before him, and a mirror-like disc is held in one hand. Green cushions flank him on a blue-tiled floor. Printed Tamil caption at the bottom names the 217th Guru Mahasannidhanam, Sri Gnanasambandha Desika Paramacharya Swamigal. This is an illustrated painting, not a physical person.
