Night photograph of an aarti ritual: a large brass aarti lamp with multiple tiers of flames is raised high against a dark sky, with smoke drifting around it. The lamp has a curved long handle held by a person in a red-and-white checked cloth wrapped around the hand, and a partly visible man in the lower right corner with a yellow canopy or umbrella-like shade behind him. Strings of wire cross the upper right, and a few distant lights glow at the bottom edge of the frame.
