A photograph of an aushada preparation ritual. A silver-rimmed bowl filled with yellow powder and dark herbal material is held above a large ornate silver vessel releasing steam. Partially visible hands and a person in orange and maroon cloth with gold bangles and a gold waist band are at the edges. A silver tray and a small brass dish with green leaves sit nearby on the floor. The setting is a concrete floor with a silver-framed shelf in the background.

Only his arm, hands and part of his body are visible, with an orange-robed figure partly visible at the upper right on a stone floor. The bowl is decorated with embossed floral and figure motifs. The scene suggests preparation of kumkum and vibhuti for ritual use, though no specific ceremony is shown.
