Many participants wear red-orange shawls over white clothes and hold their hands to their foreheads in a meditative mudra. In the foreground, a bald man in a white shawl and a man in a white shirt with an orange shawl and rudraksha-style beads press their palms to their brows. Most attendees are seated closely, with some faces partly hidden by others.2015-05-27September 18 20152015-09-18A photograph of seated devotees at a temple-style event. In the foreground, a shaved-headed man in white kurta with a rudraksha mala and a red tilak sits with eyes lowered, beside a man with a shaved head, a red tilak and a saffron-orange shawl over a white kurta, also wearing a rudraksha mala. Behind them, several men in white and dark clothing sit or stand, one with a moustache and another with a beard, and a person at the right edge holds a camera. The setting has wooden pillars and a dim hall. Neither foreground man shows the distinctive long hair, crown or ornate adornments required for a person identification, so their roles are described only as seated devotees.2010-09-02
