Outdoor gathering on open grass under a canopy of strung multicolored pennant flags in pink, green, blue, yellow and purple, tied to poles. A standing figure in a saffron-orange garment with long, loose hair stands at centre, the only person in that colour, facing the canopy. Around them, many men wear white dhotis and white shirts, some in pale blue or khaki shirts, and a man in a checked shirt stands nearby. Some people sit on the grass at left, and a green glass vessel rests on the ground. Clear blue sky with scattered clouds above. The setting suggests a ceremonial outdoor rite, but the specific ritual is not identifiable from the image.
