Outdoor annadaan food distribution at a roadside stall with a red-painted wall and a yellow and white draped canopy strung with white streamers and red flowers. A woman in an orange sari with a white forehead band ladles food from a steel pot into the outstretched cups or plates of a line of children. Behind her, women in saris and a man in a red shirt stand near a large vertical KAILASA banner showing a smiling man in saffron head wrap and a mountain backdrop, which is a banner, not a physical person. Several adults and about a dozen children are visible in the crowd, and a temple gopuram peeks over the wall.
