Inside a temple shrine, a seated priest in white dhoti and shawl with glasses and a tilak on his forehead sits on a leopard-print mat, gesturing toward an elaborately decorated golden deity murti seated on a green and gold throne. The murti holds a trident, wears a jeweled crown, gold necklaces and a magenta drape, and is garlanded with marigolds and white flower strands. In front of it stand a large gold bowl with flower offerings, copper pots of white calla lilies and yellow and pink flowers, and a tall brass oil lamp. Silver trays hold naivedyam food offerings of bananas, strawberries, rice preparations, chutneys and curries, with a brass puja plate and bell nearby.
