Night outdoor homa or fire ritual at an ashram, with a central fire pit built of yellow bricks on a sandy ground, its flame rising among marigold-decorated offerings. Around it, several bare-chested men in white dhotis wear rudraksha-style beaded malas; one in a peach turban holds a long ladle and pours into the fire, while others in yellow and lavender shawls sit nearby. Yellow-brick altars are heaped with bananas, oranges, apples, coconuts and flower garlands, with brass kalasha pots and a lamp. A gilded ornate throne-like seat stands behind the fire. Other figures and a tripod are visible at the back.
