A photograph of seven shaved-headed young monks in saffron-orange robes with maroon borders, each with a white tilak mark on the forehead, posed in a close group outdoors among rocks, palm fronds and shrubs. Some stand on the boulder at the back, others kneel or crouch in front, several with their hands on each other's necks and shoulders in a playful arrangement. A pink building with a green roof stands behind them.

Each has white vertical or horizontal tilaka marks on the forehead and arms. They sit with hands in mudra gestures and eyes closed or lowered, appearing to chant. Behind them, an adult in white clothes is partly visible. At the bottom right, a tray holds flowers and offerings.2013-11-19April 08 20132013-04-08April 08 20132013-04-08April 08 20132013-04-08November 16 20152015-11-16A photograph of a large group of young sannyasi-style boys seated closely together on a floor, all with shaved heads and wearing saffron-orange dhoti and shawl garments with maroon borders. Many wear strands of rudraksha or beaded malas around their necks, and several show white or sandalwood tilak marks on their foreheads. Behind and above them, adults in white shirts with name badges and women in orange and cream saris sit among the crowd. One boy in the centre holds a green plastic water bottle, and another rests his chin on his hand. The setting appears to be an evening gathering in a temple hall. No individual is clearly identifiable as a person in this image.2013-03-11April 23 20132013-04-23 +2 copies
