A woman in a rust-brown and gold patterned sari and a black blouse stands at right, facing a decorated deity murti on a golden-draped altar. She holds a brass plate with a lit flame toward the idol, an aarti offering. The murti wears a crown and jewelled adornments, with garlands of red, yellow and white flowers and a pink lotus at its base. Brass oil lamps and a green-draped stand sit at left, and a framed painting of a deity appears at right. Ornate gold and maroon fabrics hang in the background.

Several women in silk saris perform aarti before a golden-faced deity murti of Devi Lakshmi seated on a green-draped throne, adorned with garlands, pearl necklaces and a crown. Four women in the foreground hold a brass lamp with multiple lit wicks toward the murti: one in a green and magenta saree on the left, one in a blue blouse and red saree, and one in a cream zari saree on the right. Behind the murti stands a gold arch with green leaf festoons and hanging oil lamps, with offerings of flowers, a coconut and a kalasha-like vessel at its base. The scene reflects Varalaxmi Vratham worship.

In the foreground, a woman in a maroon sari with gold border and a shaven-headed man in saffron robes hold a lit oil lamp aarti towards the deities. Trays of flowers, leaves, a kalasha and brass vessels sit before the altar. Other people stand in the background, including a man in orange robes at centre.
