A woman with long grey hair, seen from behind, kneels before a small home shrine set on a deep red cloth in a bright room with two windows. A large printed portrait hangs on the wall above, showing a bearded man in an orange-red turban, orange robes, layered gold and beaded garlands and gold bangles, seated in lotus pose on a tiger skin; the portrait is a printed picture, not a physical person. On the cloth are polished brass plates and bowls holding red rose petals, a conch shell, a small brass lamp, a glass of dark liquid, and incense smoke rising. A tray of red roses wrapped in gold cloth sits to the left. The woman wears a blue patterned top and a yellow flower in her hair.

A devotee with short dark hair, seen from behind and blurred in the foreground, reaches toward a puja setup on a purple and striped woven mat. On the left stands a cardboard cutout of a smiling bearded man in an orange-red turban and saffron robe, with a gold beaded necklace, raised hand in blessing, and a small framed photo beside it. The brass puja plate holds red rose petals, a halved orange, a brass lamp, small brass cups and a brass vessel with a lingam-shaped object. The setting suggests a devotional offering to a depicted figure rather than the living person.
