A photograph of a construction site on dusty, open ground with dirt mounds, metal rebar and a concrete slab, with trees and a palm behind. In the centre a man with short dark hair and a moustache, wearing a white short-sleeved shirt, grey trousers and a gold bracelet, reaches out with his arm toward a man in a long white kurta seen from behind. Further to the left a man in white clothing stands at the edge, and to the right another man in white stands near the frame edge. Several more figures in white are faintly visible in the far background among the ground and structures.

Behind them stand people in white clothing, with trees, palm fronds and a stone pile on the ground. The scene suggests a foundation-stone or groundbreaking-type gesture, though no ritual is clearly visible.2008-06-20June 20 20082008-06-20A large outdoor work scene on a dusty, unpaved site under a clear sky with a tree and utility pole. Many people in white shirts and white dhotis or trousers carry and stack grey stone blocks and slabs, some carrying stones on their shoulders or in their arms. In the foreground a man with grey hair and a white shirt, with a lanyard, turns away from the work. Other people walk and gather across the field, with palm trees and open land in the background.2008-06-20A photograph of a dusty construction site at a rural compound, with heaps of red-brown earth, scattered gravel, a stack of red bricks and a wooden pallet in the foreground. A crowd of about thirty men in white shirts and white dhotis or trousers stands on the sandy ground, many clustered together and looking toward the left. Behind them stands a white boundary wall, a dirt road, utility poles with wires and scattered trees under an overcast sky. No candidate for the named figure is distinguishable among them, so no identification is made.2008-06-20June 20 20082008-06-20Outdoor photo at a dusty construction site with a pile of excavated red-brown earth and a trench behind it. Three men in plain white shirts and white dhotis stand near the mound. On the left, a man with a beard and white shirt turns toward the middle man, who wears a white shirt and dhoti with a reddish-brown rudraksha-style mala and a gold bracelet. On the right, a bespectacled man in a white shirt and white dhoti wears a long beaded mala and holds a clump of earth in both hands. A brick boundary wall, scrub, utility wires and a distant figure appear in the background under a pale sky.2008-06-20June 20 20082008-06-20June 20 20082008-06-20June 20 20082008-06-20Outdoor photograph of a rocky hillside construction site with many men in plain white shirts and trousers carrying and passing stones by hand. In the left foreground a man in an orange-saffron kurta stands among the rubble, while a shaved-headed man in white stands centre-right with a stone in hand. A woman in a light blue and white outfit stands further back near a bare tree, and green foliage and dry branches frame the upper edge. No distinctive a person cues such as long hair, crown, rudraksha or ornate gold adornment are visible on any individual, so the candidate is not identifiable from appearance.2008-06-20
