A street procession in an Indian town moves along a road lined with shops and buildings in the evening. Uniformed police officers in khaki with lathis walk through the crowd, guiding it. Many marchers wear white shirts and white dhotis and carry orange, red and blue flags and banners. One large purple banner shows a portrait of a smiling man with dark hair. A tall telecom tower and overhead wires stand above the street, and a bare tree rises at right beside a stone-walled building.
