A man with long, swept-back dark hair, bare-shouldered in an orange cloth and wearing ceremonial gold bead necklaces, leans forward holding a silver kalasha-style vessel and a silver puja vessel on a tray. Beside him, a shaven-headed priest in orange robes with white forehead marks and glasses holds a small tray with a card or packet, and another man in orange with gold-bead necklace and maroon-edged cloth holds a silver dish. Behind them, a man in a red and gold turban and a person in yellow robes stand among onlookers, with orange flags visible overhead. A videographer's camera is at the left edge. The figure with long hair and orange cloth is a candidate for a person by appearance, but the identification is uncertain.2009-10-17A photograph of an indoor ritual inside a decorated temple hall with a red carpet and green lighting. In the centre, an older man with long grey hair and a white beard, wearing orange robes and a yellow-and-pink flower garland, bends forward with his palms pressed together before a lit oil lamp held by a younger attendant. The attendant has a white forehead marking, a gold necklace and orange clothing, and holds the lamp in both hands. Beside them, a plate of pink flower petals sits near the flame. Around them, several people in orange and red robes, rudraksha beads and white forehead marks stand watching, with a bystander in a blue shirt and a man in a striped shirt at the right. Statues and gold-framed decorations line the background. This describes a aarti offering; a person appears as a probable in-person candidate on the basis of the long hair, orange robes, and flower garland, though his face is not used for identification.2016-04-23A shaved-headed priest in an orange saffron dhoti and shawl with a gold zari border holds a silver aarti lamp with a flame blazing to the right, and a silver bell in his other hand. He wears a gold bead necklace, a gold bracelet, and a red tilak on his forehead, and his hands are stained with mehndi. Behind him, a second man in white ritual dress and a woman stand in a line. The background shows red and orange draped cloth. The scene appears to be an aarti or puja ritual.2010-12-19August 09 20072007-08-09A seated group ritual in an ashram hall. The man on the left, with a grey beard and glasses, holds a small brass lamp with a lit flame; the younger monk on the right, with a shaved head and white tilak marks, holds a lit oil lamp and a brass vessel. Behind them, men in white dhotis and shawls with red borders hold lit lamps. Brass plates with flowers, fruit, rice and kumkum sit on the mat in front, along with a open book. Tripods and equipment are visible at the top left.
