A large group of saffron-robed sannyasis and devotees stands and sits on stone steps by a river ghat, raising their arms joyfully and smiling. Many wear orange and saffron cloth, rudraksha malas and beaded necklaces; several carry white ceremonial staffs topped with trident-like finials and a silver kalasha-shaped ornament. A large silver peetha or palanquin-style object sits in the centre. Behind them, a red and orange umbrella shades the group and onlookers in white and colourful clothing watch from the steps. A black speaker sits at the right edge.
