Two bare-chested priests sit on the red floor: the left priest in a pink and orange turban, white dhoti and rudraksha mala, extends his arm toward the altar while holding a brass bowl; a second priest in a white dhoti and yellow shawl sits beside him with a brass vessel. Behind them, a table covered in orange brocade holds decorated coconuts wrapped in yellow and white marigold garlands, plus banana and fruit offerings. A gold ornate arch frames the scene. Scattered flower petals, bananas and brass pots fill the foreground.2018-01-31July 11 20122012-07-11May 28 20132013-05-28 +1 copiesFebruary 07 20162016-02-07January 31 20182018-01-31January 06 20182018-01-06A photograph of a pada puja ritual in progress. A shaved-headed man in a white dhoti with red-bordered edges sits before a gold ornate seat, wearing a heavy gold bead necklace with a pendant and white sandalwood markings on his forehead and arms. A woman in a yellow shawl over white clothing sits beside him with hands folded, eyes closed, and a white forehead mark. In the foreground are silver trays and bowls with flowers, and a person in orange robes is seen from behind at the right. Red and white garlands drape the gold seat. The man's appearance does not clearly match the page's claim, so he is described by role as a priest; no identification is made.2010-10-13A photograph of a homa fire ritual in a hall with a red-orange wall. Two priests sit cross-legged on the floor before a square fire pit built of yellow-painted bricks with twigs and a small flame. The seated priest at right wears a white dhoti with gold border and a white shawl, a gold necklace with rudraksha beads, and a shaved head with white tilak; he holds a gold vessel and faces a microphone on a stand. The priest at left wears saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with a beaded gold necklace, hands folded in prayer. Plates of flowers, a brass lamp, a small bell, and a pile of wood sticks surround them. At right, a deity murti is decorated with red and yellow garlands. Smoke rises from the fire. The a person candidate is not clearly identifiable from appearance, so no identification is made.2011-11-29 +1 copiesJuly 17 20152015-07-17
