The seated figures are richly decorated life-size murtis dressed in jewelled garments, one wearing a green turban and gold necklaces, another in a tall jewelled crown. Brass oil lamps, a kalasha, bells and a small offering tray stand on a yellow cloth at the front, and a carved wooden screen stands to the right.2016-09-15November 24 20172017-11-24Photograph of a ritual inside a decorated tent. A man in a red-orange dhoti and shawl, with a gold waist belt, a long gold-and-beaded necklace and gold armbands, stands with palms pressed together in prayer beside a fire pit with a bright flame in the foreground. Behind him, women in white saris stand near brass oil lamps and a garlanded white floral arch. On the right, a deity murti is adorned with flower garlands, a blue and gold cloth and a decorative crown, set on a striped cloth-draped platform beside gold ornamental metalwork. A red cloth covers a table with brass lamps. The setting suggests a homa or puja with flowers and fire offerings.2016-05-24A photograph of a man standing in the centre with both palms raised in greeting, wearing a maroon-and-gold turban with a white feather, a rudraksha-style necklace, and a white flower garland over an orange-and-maroon cloth. Behind him sits a deity murti in a richly embroidered red and gold sari with a gold crown and layered necklaces, seated on a gold throne beside an empty gold throne with maroon cushions and a gold parasol canopy. A painted backdrop shows a temple gopuram, palm trees and a sunset, with brass lamps at the right edge. Two people are visible, the standing man and no other living figure beyond the murti.2015-10-22 +1 copies
