Outdoor photo of a ceremony on red sandstone steps. Two armchairs sit on the steps: a long-bearded elderly sadhu in saffron-orange robes with a folded orange shawl sits in the left chair, and a younger man in maroon-brown robes with a gold bracelet sits in the right chair with his hand raised to his forehead. A man in a white dhoti and shawl with gold borders stands at right holding a flaming oil lamp or aarti tray toward them. A shaved-headed monk in brown-orange robes sits cross-legged on the lower step at left, and another orange-robed figure sits at far left with a small cloth and clapping hands. Three or four people are visible.

The central figure in the middle chair has long white hair and a full white beard, wearing an orange-saffron robe draped over the body, seated on a cushioned throne-style armchair with a patterned cloth on the seat. The figure in the right chair wears a maroon-brown robe with a shawl and has a short dark hair and a vertical tilak on the forehead. A younger man in a brown-maroon dhoti with yellow borders sits on the steps at left, bare-chested and with a tilak, looking toward the seated figures. A chain-like object hangs at left near the central chair. Two armchairs and the tiered red steps dominate the frame.2013-11-06Photograph of an outdoor red-stone stepped platform with two orange upholstered armchairs. Seated in the chairs, a bearded man with long white beard and swept-back grey hair wears saffron-orange robes and presses his palms together, while a woman in a maroon-red shawl with hands folded sits beside him. In front, a shaved-headed man in a brown-orange robe with a gold-edged dhoti kneels on the steps facing them. At far left, a shaved-headed figure in orange garments with a clip-on microphone sits on a mat, hands in anjali. Two cream cushion blocks lie on the steps. The page cites a Rudrabhishekam and satsang at Aadikailaasa; those are not visible here, so only the seated people and their gestures are described. Four are seated in the foreground: a man in a white shirt and white trousers on the left, a man in a pink-red striped shirt and brown trousers, and two sannyasi in saffron-orange robes, one holding a tall wooden staff and wearing a white and red flower garland with a rudraksha mala, the other in an orange turban and dark rudraksha beads. A older man in white clothing sits on a higher step behind them. The setting is a red sandstone ghat-like stairway.2013-10-21 +1 copiesNovember 06 20132013-11-06November 06 20132013-11-06October 28 20132013-10-28
