Roadside scene on a dirt-edged rural road with a hillside and palm tree behind. A woman in a pink blouse and orange-red sari carries a large bundle of firewood on her head, while another bundle of sticks, tied with rope, is balanced on the shoulder of a man at left. A grey SUV drives past on the tarmac at right, and a few more people walk further down the road. Green shrubs and trees line the path. A faint circular reflection of a portrait appears in the lower left foreground, but no identifiable person is clearly shown there.
