A photograph of a large dark stone lingam wrapped with a garland of red, yellow and green flowers, seen from a raised steel platform against a clear blue sky. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti stands on the platform with his right arm extended toward the lingam, wearing a rudraksha mala necklace, orange bangles, and white sacred markings on his forehead and arms; his hair is in long matted locks. Behind him a bronze vessel sits on the platform, and a second man in an orange cloth stands at the left on the stairs with a brass pot nearby. The scene suggests a ritual anointing of the lingam.

He holds a brass oil lamp with a small flame and pours or offers from it toward the lingam, while a second priest with a shaved head sits behind him on the platform, and a brass pot sits nearby. Wisps of smoke rise above. The scene shows a lingam abhishekam and aarti in progress. The lead priest wears rudraksha beads and white dhoti, and his cues are not distinctive enough to confirm the page's claim of a person's presence.2016-11-11 +1 copiesOutdoor abhishekam at a large dark black stone lingam wrapped with a garland of white, yellow and red flowers and topped with green leaves.
