Night photograph of a procession of women in orange and saffron saris playing traditional instruments on a gravel ground, with blurred lights in the background. Several women hold cymbals and small hand drums, while others carry long brass horns and a metal trumpet-style instrument. One woman in white and brown dhoti-style cloth with orange border stands in the middle holding a drum, and a red cloth bundle is slung over one shoulder. Ritual musicians walk in a line as part of a ceremonial band.2016-03-02Photo 11701838Night procession on a gravel path lit by distant lights and a single burning torch. In the foreground, drummers in saffron-orange robes carry round hand drums and walk barefoot. A figure at centre-left holds a flaming torch above the group. On the right, several men in white dhotis with gold-coloured borders walk in the procession, partially visible and mostly in shadow. The scene is dark, with the procession moving through the night.2016-02-17March 02 20162016-03-02 +1 copiesNight scene of a ritual drum ensemble performing outdoors on a paved courtyard. Several men in orange and saffron dhotis with gold borders and white dhotis play large hand-held drums, some with leopard-print covers, and one man on the right blows a long curved brass horn. Many wear rudraksha malas and one has a white vertical tilak on his forehead. A marigold garland hangs at the upper left and a decorated pillar and stone platform stand behind. No single figure is identifiable as a featured teacher; the group is a drumming and horn troupe performing at a pidari-amman puja. +1 copiesNight procession with drummers in the foreground. A man at left wears orange clothing, a saffron shawl with gold trim, long dreadlocks and beaded necklaces, playing a drum. Beside him, a young drummer in orange and a bare-chested man in white dhoti with gold border play frame drums. A bare-chested boy with rudraksha malas drums in the centre, and dancers in orange and red saris surround them. Red and gold umbrellas and ceremonial parasols rise in the background under a floodlight, with a crowd of onlookers at the edges.2016-09-05Night photograph of a drumming procession on sandy ground. Several men play large hand drums, each with a wooden stick, while walking together. The drummers wear saffron-orange cloths with gold borders and rudraksha malas, and some wear white cloths with gold borders; several have white tilak marks on their foreheads. A tall brass horn is raised at the left and dim lights and figures appear in the background. The scene reads as a temple festival procession rather than an identifiable event, and no Swamiji appearance is visible.2015-05-01September 05 20162016-09-05November 16 20152015-11-16January 13 20152015-01-13November 14 20132013-11-14Photo 11696176
