Photograph of a walkway in Pattanam during a KAILASA event. In the foreground an elderly man with white hair wears a white shirt and a cream shawl with red floral print over his shoulder. Behind him, a bearded man in orange robes and glasses walks beside a man in an orange turban and orange robe with a white flower garland. Further back, men in orange and white clothing carry a tray of offerings, and a crowd is visible at the far left under a corrugated roof and white buildings with orange trim. The turbaned man in orange with the garland is a person by appearance, walking in procession as a honoured guest.

At the centre, a man in a saffron-orange turban and saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala and a white and red flower garland stands smiling, hands at his sides. The page places a person at this event, but the figure's appearance is only partially distinctive, so identity is uncertain. Beside him, a bearded man in an orange dhoti and shawl stands next to an older man in white. Devotees in white dhotis and shirts line the path, some with folded hands, and a woman in a white sari with orange border stands at left. Men in red kurtas carry items at right, and a green-framed doorway and blue wall with floral garlands appear at left.2008-07-28 +1 copiesA photograph of a group of saffron-robed sannyasis descending concrete steps from a building with a green-tiled ceiling and a decorative lattice wall. In the centre, a bald, older man in orange robes and an orange shawl wears a dark rudraksha mala and walks forward. Beside him, a younger figure in orange with an orange turban and a dark rudraksha mala walks alongside. Several other saffron-robed monks in orange turbans follow behind. Around them, men in white shirts and white dhotis move through the crowd, and a man in white holds a folded paper. Ceiling fans and a white pillar are visible in the background.2010-01-13
