Several people in white ritual clothes climb toward the linga, some holding offerings, while others stand along the pool's stone edge and steps holding brass plates and vessels, with a row of brass lamps and fruit set on the ground. A few women in white saris and orange or saffron garments sit near the edge, and a figure in orange appears near the top of the stairs by the linga. Tiered red stadium-style seating surrounds the pool under a cloudy sky, with trees and palms beyond. The scene reads as a linga abhishekam performed in the water.2010-10-22 +1 copies
