Night photograph of a golden float ceremony on a lit temple tank. A seated man in saffron robes sits on a red-cushioned golden throne decorated with white and purple garlands, raising one hand in blessing. Beside him stands another saffron-robed figure with a garland. Attendants in white dhotis and a man in a green sash stand on the float and the deck. Behind, a fountain jets water beneath a golden arched shrine with a lingam and a kalasha-like top. Tiered stone steps and strings of coloured lights frame the scene.

A seated man in saffron robes, with long dark hair, sits on a red-cushioned golden throne decorated with white and multicoloured garlands, and a deity murti in orange robes stands on a smaller golden seat beside him. Devotees in white and saffron clothing wade in the water and steady the float, while others sit on the stepped tiers at left under strings of coloured lights.2010-12-30Night photograph of a floating ceremonial raft on a pool in front of a tiered stone bathing structure with a fountain. The raft is decorated with gold-coloured ornamental canopy and carved panels, white jasmine garlands and purple-and-yellow flower garlands. Seated on a red-cushioned throne in the centre is a figure in saffron-orange robes, adorned with a rudraksha-style necklace and raising one hand in blessing; this figure is visually compatible with a swami presentation, but the appearance is uncertain. A standing figure in orange robes with a garland stands on the left of the raft, and several men in white dhotis and orange or white clothing stand in the water around the raft. A shrine-like lingam structure with fountain water rises behind, with strings of coloured lights along the rails and spectators seated on the steps in the background.2010-12-30December 30 20102010-12-30December 30 20102010-12-30December 30 20102010-12-30Night photograph of a golden ceremonial float on a pool, decorated with white jasmine-style garlands and purple and green flower garlands, carrying a man seated on a red cushioned throne in a saffron-orange robe, with a smaller saffron-clad figure standing beside him in a niche on the float.
